Phineas Delgado, author
Origin Story

A retired man of action turned urban fantasy writer. At least he is in my head.

Phineas grew up in Middletown, Ohio, where he graduated in 1993 before serving in the United States Air Force until 1997. In the years since, he's held all kinds of jobs across a handful of industries, and today works in IT. And now he's written the epic he started dreaming up when he was in high school.

"I've always felt like a storyteller, and I had an English teacher that I really credit for putting me on this path." A class assignment expanding on the Sumerian afterlife concepts from Gilgamesh turned into his first published work, and the moment that convinced him people might want to read what he wrote.

Behind the Curtain

How did Phineas create his world?

Characters
Marvel Super Heroes and Palladium TTRPGs The oldest characters in Lucifer's Halo were created in High School for the Marvel Super Heroes tabletop game — FASERIP forever. Some were created from kater roleplay sessions in the Palladium system. Others still were inspired by existing myth and legend.
Languages
Names and words that mean something. All of the created names in the series are inspired by existing languages and all mean something. When real languages are used, context and usage are confirmed to add to the sense of immersion.
Worldbuilding
A world where all the stories ever told are true. But after thousands of years of the telephone game, maybe those stories aren't about what we thought. Phineas started with a framework of existing stories and expanded them into something far greater and explained how they could all be true and still coexist with one another.
