About Phineas Delgado

Phineas Delgado is a retired man of action turned urban fantasy writer. At least he is in my head. I created Phineas some years ago so I could separate my online presence from my real life. Over the years, he's taken on a life of his own, though his story is also mine. He just has a cooler name.

I grew up in Middletown, Ohio, a place you may have heard of now. I attended 13 years of Catholic school there and went on to the Air Force from 1993 until 1997. After that I've worked myriad jobs in various fields from restaurants to mortgage lenders. Currently I work in IT, because of course I do.

I've always felt like a storyteller, and I had a teacher in High School that I really credit for putting me on this path. I had to write a short story expanding on the ideas of the Sumerian afterlife as presented in the Epic of Gilgamesh. Despite not following the typical writing process (outline > draft > revision > edit > final copy) because I'm a stream of consciousness writer, she loved what I wrote and published it in the school Art Magazine. She really made me think people would read what I wrote.

The characters I'm writing about are near and dear to me. The oldest of them I created in High School for the Marvel Super Heroes TTRPG (FASERIP FTW), and the youngest of them share names with people who are important to me. If you and I are friends, there's a good chance you'll see your name pop up at some point. Lucifer's Halo is an epic story set in a universe where anything can and will happen. I hope you love it there as much as I do.
